Dr. Harrington earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from
the University of Rhode Island and her Master of Science and Doctor of
Psychology degrees from Antioch University New England. Dr.
Harrington completed a pre-doctoral internship in clinical child and
adolescent psychology at Riverbend Community Mental Health Center
in Concord, New Hampshire where she developed a specialty interest
in the assessment and treatment of child and adolescent trauma (e.g.,
physical and sexual abuse, neglect, grief /loss) and Posttraumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Dr. Harrington completed her post-doctoral training in child and
adolescent psychology at Genesis Behavioral Health in Laconia, New
Hampshire and received extensive clinical training in the treatment of
child and pediatric trauma from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover,
New Hampshire. She was further trained in the use of the Diagnostic
Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy
and Early Childhood (DC: 0-3R). Following her post doctoral training, Dr
Harrington continued to provide supervision, consultation, and training
for the Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center, implementing research
training protocols in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(TF-CBT) to mental health providers across New Hampshire.

Dr. Harrington is a licensed psychologist in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. She is a member of the
American Psychological Association, Divisions of Trauma Psychology and Clinical Child and
Adolescent Psychology. She is also a member of the New Hampshire Psychological Association and
sits on the Board of Directors for the Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County.

In addition to treating child victims of trauma and PTSD, Dr. Harrington employs a vast array of brief,
evidenced-based treatment approaches (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Time- limited Dynamic
Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy) to help
children and adults who experience a myriad of social-emotional, interpersonal and behavioral
challenges (e.g., depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment disorders). She provides brief and long-
term therapy, individual, child and adolescent psychotherapy, child-centered play therapy, Sandplay
therapy, family therapy, parent behavioral management consultation, and adult couples counseling. In
addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Harrington also provides supervision to postdoctoral psychology students
and conducts brief psychological evaluations for diagnostic clarification (e.g., ADHD, Anxiety, PTSD)
and to assess the nature and extent of social-emotional concerns in children, adolescents and adults.
