Dr. Alice LoCicero graduated from Catholic University in Washington DC, and completed her postdoctoral training at Children's Hospital and Judge Baker Guidance Center in Boston, where she remained on staff as a senior supervising psychologist for several years. She also obtained an MBA from Simmons School of Management in 2003, with a focus on nonprofit management. She has been practicing as a clinical psychologist for over 30 years, working with clients of all ages. In addition to practicing at The Counseling Center, Dr. LoCicero is a member of the Board of Directors at Community Legal Services and Counseling Center in Cambridge, where she also provides evaluations and consultation for asylum-seeking refugees. Dr. LoCicero maintains a practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she consults to schools, corporations and government agencies She is an adjunct faculty member with Lesley University in Cambridge, where she teaches in the Graduate Program in Counseling and Psychology. Dr. LoCicero currently holds licenses as a Psychologist in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She has the distinction of certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology. |

Dr. LoCicero has supervised psychology doctoral students and interns at Children's Hospital, Judge Baker Guidance Center, Suffolk University, and Boston Medical Center. She has taught Clinical Psychology at Tufts University and Suffolk University, and has been on the faculty of Harvard Medical School. She directed a clinical service for court-involved adolescents in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Although Dr. LoCicero maintains a general practice seeing adults, adolescents, children, and families, her specialty interests include working with parents, children, and adolescents who are in complex family situations, including divorced and blended families. She works with clients of all ages with depression, anxiety, interpersonal and work difficulties. She has a unique specialty evaluating law enforcement professionals for fitness for duty and employment selection, and is trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and in Psychological First Aid for workplace and community disaster. |
