Brooke Baron, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Brooke Baron earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, summa cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire. She received both her master’s and doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area campus, California. As part of her training, Dr. Baron completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Seacoast Mental Health Center in Portsmouth/Exeter, New Hampshire where she provided adult outpatient psychological services, including psychological testing, emergency services, and psychotherapy. Dr. Baron is licensed to practice in New Hampshire and is a member of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Baron utilizes a psychodynamic approach in conjunction with cognitive behavioral interventions. She believes that working to foster an empathic therapeutic alliance is a necessary ingredient to help people begin to explore underlying feelings and relationship dynamics in a safe environment. She works with patients on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help achieve personal change and improve quality of life issues. Specifically, Dr. Baron maintains expertise in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, trauma, abuse, and life transitions. Generally, Dr. Baron enjoys helping patients address unresolved personal, life and/or relationship issues and improve their ability to cope with challenging circumstances.
