Michael Bohnert, MD

Dr. Bohnert is a Board Certified psychiatrist who received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he also did his internship. He completed his psychiatric residency training at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Harvard Medical School. He has held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School where he was Instructor of Psychiatry teaching psychiatric residents at the Cambridge Hospital. He is a graduate of the Psychoanalytic Institute of New England, East.

Dr. Bohnert is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society. He is also a member of the American Psychoanalytic Association and is a charter member of the Psychoanalytic Society of New England, East. In addition to his current practice at The Counseling Center of Nashua, he has a private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has also served for years as staff psychiatrist at Westwood Lodge. Dr. Bohnert specializes in general adult psychiatry including the treatment of depression and other affective disorders, anxiety and panic disorders, sleep problems, obsessive compulsive disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, eating disorders, and premenstrual syndromes.
