Michael Hendery, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Hendery earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a neuroscience concentration from Ithaca College in Upstate New York. He then completed his Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from St. Michael’s College in Vermont. While there, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Vermont Substance Abuse Treatment Center and at the Howard Center as a child counselor. He then did his internship year at the UVM Counseling Center. Following this time in Vermont, Dr. Hendery went on for his Doctor of Psychology degree in clinical psychology at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. His training experiences there included providing clinical services for a local Headstart program, studying as a fellow at the Baltimore-Washington Institute for Psychoanalysis, and spending two years at the George Washington University Center Clinic, working with adults and children in the D.C. community. Dr. Hendery completed both his pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Seacoast Mental Health Center in Portsmouth, NH.

Dr. Hendery is licensed as a psychologist in the State of New Hampshire and a member of the American Psychological Association. He has a wide-range of clinical interests including specialties in anxiety disorders, trauma, adolescent issues, and mindfulness practice. He approaches psychotherapy as a collaborative effort that emphasizes self-insight as well as symptom relief. His practice provides services for individuals from all age ranges.
