Peter J. Kelley, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Kelley earned his undergraduate degree at Connecticut College, his M.A. in counseling psychology at Lewis and Clark College, and his doctorate degree at Pacific University in clinical psychology. He has worked in numerous settings both inpatient and outpatient over the last 25 years with 8 years clinical experience post-doctorate. He is currently licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He has worked for the past 10 years at Riverbend Community Mental Health Center in Concord, New Hampshire and additionally has worked for the past three years at Mclean Hospital’s outpatient clinic in Belmont, Massachusetts before coming to The Counseling Center of Nashua.
He has conducted emergency service evaluations for individuals in psychiatric crisis extensively in three different state mental health centers. He has presented on the issue of domestic violence to community colleges, physician groups and community groups. He also has worked in the area of men’s issues, particularly in addressing the differences in how men experience depression as compared to women. Dr. Kelley also provides cognitive and behaviorally oriented group therapy for adults and has co-led and been trained in conducting domestic violence group therapy for men. In addition, he has worked with the victims of domestic violence.
Dr. Kelley's current practice includes psychological services to adults, couples and adolescents with depression, anxiety, anger, relationship and change of life issues.
