Julie Marsden,Psy.D.

Dr. Marsden earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Human Development from the University of Vermont. After teaching young children for two years and leading support groups for battered women, she went on to earn a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Her clinical training included work at community mental heatlh centers, college counseling centers, and Faulkner/Brigham and Women’s Hospital inpatient psychiatric unit. After receiving her doctorate she completed one year of post-doc training at Faulkner/Brigham and Women’s partial hospital program, where she was then employed as a staff psychologist before relocating to New Hampshire.
Dr. Marsden’s experience has included work with a wide range of diverse clients with mood disorders, suicidality and post-traumatic stress disorder. Her areas of interest include gay/lesbian issues, grief and loss, family systems, spirituality, psychological testing, and cross-cultural psychotherapy.
Dr. Marsden provides individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Marsden is licensed in the states of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Psychological Associations.
