Andrew Prokopis, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Prokopis earned his undergraduate degree in Behavioral Sciences from Lesley College, Cambridge, MA. At that time, he also received training in and worked as a counselor with perpetrators of domestic violence at Emerge: A Men's Counseling Center for Domestic Violence. In addition, he worked as a counselor and trainer in body-oriented counseling with individuals using various relaxation and visualization techniques. He then received his master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Cambridge, MA, where he studied human development across the life span, and counseling. After receiving this degree, Dr. Prokopis worked as a school psychologist for a private-day school and established their counseling and health education department. He also studied and received supervision at The Clinical Developmental Institute, further studying life-span development. With a colleague, he developed the Teaching and Intimacy Project, consulting with primary and secondary school faculty, administrators, counselors, and parents about healthy students-teacher relations. His interests also led him to train and receive supervision from The Concord Institute in psycho-spiritual modalities of counseling. He is a life-long student of the connections between psychology and religion and spirituality, and a student of meditation. He then went on to receive his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School, Keene, NH. From there, he developed his specialty in the field of forensic psychology and developmental disabilities. He is a licensed psychologist in New Hampshire and is pursuing licensure in the State of California. Dr. Prokopis is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA).

Dr. Propokis provides clinical psychological services for individuals, groups, couples, and families, including psychotherapy and a variety of psychological assessments. In addition, he works with developmental issues in children, adolescents, and adults, with individuals with developmental disabilities. He also works with forensic issues, providing individual and group psychotherapy, as well as particular forensic assessments. Dr. Prokopis also works with psycho-spiritual issues and uses various techniques in his work with individuals.
