Dr. Richman earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at Long Island University C.W. Post. She obtained clinical training at Nassau B.O.C.E.S. Teenage Pregnancy Program, Pederson-Krag Outpatient Community Mental Health Center, Long Island Jewish’s Rackaway Youth Consultation Center and St. Mary’s Children and Family Services working with troubled children and adolescents. Following this, Dr. Richman worked at the counseling center of the State University of New York Purchase College with adolescents with a variety of difficulties including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, issues of sexuality and stage of life concerns. She has also conducted research on children’s school performance in relation to quality of family relationships.
Dr. Richman provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults, including individual marital, family, and group psychotherapy. She specializes in overcoming the effects of having grown up in dysfunctional families, reducing anxiety and depressive symptoms, eating disorders and improving marriages. With children and adolescents, Dr. Richman specializes in behavioral management, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and family counseling for parent-teen conflict. Dr. Richman is a licensed psychologist in New Hampshire and New York and is a member of the American Psychological Association.
