Patricia B. Whitman, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Whitman earned her undergraduate degree in psychology, cum laude, from Douglass College/Rutgers University in 1981. She went on to attend graduate school at the University of Vermont, earning her doctorate in psychology in 1986. After becoming licensed as a psychologist, Dr. Whitman joined a group practice in Burlington, VT. While working in this practice she also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in adult and childhood emotional disorders. Dr. Whitman began her own practice in 1989 and remained in private practice until moving to New Hampshire in 2001. Dr. Whitman is a licensed psychologist in New Hampshire and Vermont, and is eligible for licensure in Massachusetts. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and has been listed in the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology since 1989.
Dr. Whitman specializes in childhood behavior disorders and in divorce related issues, PTSD, anxiety, eating disorders, and depression in children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Whitman also is a certified hypnotherapist and uses these skills to assist all types of clients with anxiety, stress management, and medical disorders (e.g., pain).
