Dr. Paul Broder graduated from the University of Illinois –
Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He went on
to earn a master’s and a doctorate in experimental psychology
from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, where he
concentrated in the field of human learning and memory. Dr.
Broder subsequently completed a specialization in clinical
psychology at Suffolk University, Boston, Massachusetts. His
clinical training has included positions at community mental
health centers (Newton Outpatient Center, Newton,
Massachusetts, and Community Council of Nashua, NH),
university counseling centers (Northeastern University and
Boston College), and a Veteran’s Administration medical
center (Bedford, Massachusetts).

In these settings, he has provided outpatient treatment to adults of varying ages and diverse
backgrounds. Dr. Broder provides psychological services to adults, adolesents, and couples. His
areas of specialization include treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, and problems of adjustment
to transition and loss. His experience also includes working with survivors of trauma and abuse,
men’s issues, gay/lesbian issues, and with individuals with dual substance abuse and psychiatric
diagnoses. Dr. Broder is licensed in the state of New Hampshire. He is a member of the American
Psychological Association and the Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Psychological
Associations.

In addition to his training in clinical and experimental psychology, Dr. Broder has had substantial
experience in the world of business, where he has worked in marketing research, marketing
consulting, and consumer psychology for corporations and consulting firms. He completed a course
at the College of Business, University of Maryland – Baltimore, on Management and Clinical Aspects
of Employee Assistance Program Practice. Dr. Broder also has been trained in basic critical incident
stress management through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.
