Dr. Gray earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hawaii
Pacific University and then obtained her Master's and Doctor in
Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from The American School
of Professional Psychology in Washington D.C. Dr. Gray completed
a pre-doctoral internship at Western State Hospital and Pennyroyal
Mental Health Center in Hopkinsville, KY. She completed her
post-doctoral fellowship at The Pennyroyal Mental Health Center in
Hopkinsville, KY, where she was then employed as a clinical
psychologist before relocating to NH.
Carrie Ann Gray, Psy.D.
Dr. Gray comes to The Counseling Center of Nashua with diverse clinical experience. She worked at the
Center for Mental Health in Washington, DC providing individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy,
group therapy, crisis intervention, and psychological evaluations. Dr. Gray also worked at The Treatment
and Learning Center in Rockville, MD where she provided individual and group therapy, behavioral
observations, developmental screenings, and psychoeducational evaluations of children. In this setting,
she provided evaluation and treatment to clients with learning disabilities, regulatory, behavioral, and
emotional difficulties, and provided specialized treatment to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr.
Gray also worked as a parent coordinator for the American Psychological Association (APA), and
operated under special master status of DC Superior Court with quasi-judicial power and assisted parents
in creating custodial, visitations, and parenting arrangements that centered on the best interest of the
child. At Western State Hospital and Pennyroyal Mental Health Center, Dr. Gray provided inpatient and
outpatient therapy to a wide variety of clients as well as conducted psychological assessments, and has
received specialized training with children and adult trauma victims. She has provided emergency services
to children, adolescents, and families, and as well as delivered in-school therapy in Cadiz, KY.

Dr. Gray is a licensed psychologist in the state of KY & NH. She is a member of the American
Psychological Association. Dr. Gray currently provides psychological assessment and therapy with
children, adolescents, families, adults, couples, and groups. Clinical interests include: victims of trauma
and abuse; self-injurious behavior; family and couples therapy; child and adolescent disruptive behavioral
disorders; school consultation; parent-child relationship issues; behavior modification; grief and
bereavement; relationship problems; overcoming the effects of growing up in dysfunctional families; and
managing life transitions. Dr. Gray uses an eclectic approach in order to best match the theory and
techniques to the needs of the client, drawing largely from Cognitive-Behavioral, Humanistic, and Family
Systems theoretical perspectives.
