Range of Services
Dr. Tomb is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of
medicine. After completing a year long medical internship, he
trained in Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital,
completing his training in 1981. Since then he has at various
times served on the faculty of Western Psychiatric Institute and
Clinic, University of Massachusetts, the Boston Institute for
Psychotherapy, and the Massachusetts General Hospital. He is
interested in both psychopharmacology and long-term
psychotherapy, especially group psychotherapy. In that regard,
he has served as president of the Northeast Group Psychotherapy
Society and remains involved in its teaching activities. He is
currently in private practice in Worcester, Massachusetts as well
as The Counseling Center of Nashua. He also lectures frequently
for several pharmaceutical companies about the treatment of both
depression and bipolar disorder.

Dr. Tomb's clinical interests include the treatment of depression
and anxiety disorders, with a special interest in treatment
resistant depressions. He is also interested in the interface
between primary care and psychiatry, and in the psychological
and psychiatric aspects of weight loss and obesity.
